Privacy Policy
This policy explains what The Beaumere Club ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and iPhone app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short on purpose.
What we collect
- Membership requests: the details you enter on our request form.
- Your account: your member number and the settings you choose, such as your weekly spending limit and cooling off.
- Purchases: what you bought, the amount and the date. Payments are taken by Apple, so we never see or store your card details.
- Activity: weekly totals, crown history and the pieces in your collection, so that the Throne and the Vault work.
- Notifications: if you allow them, a token from Apple that lets us send you a notification, for example when the crown changes hands.
What we do not do
We do not show advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your information.
Who helps us run the service
- Apple, for purchases and notifications
- RevenueCat, to check purchase records
- Supabase, which stores our database
- Tally, which runs the membership request form
- Cloudflare, which serves this website
These providers handle your information only to provide their service to us. Some are based outside New Zealand, so your information may be processed in other countries, including the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are a member. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information, except records we are required by law to keep. Member numbers are never reissued, so a deleted number stays retired.
Your choices
Email us to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see and correct personal information we hold about you. You can turn off notifications at any time in your iPhone settings.
Spending controls
Members can set a weekly spending limit or pause all purchases with cooling off. These settings are stored with your account.
Adults only
The Beaumere Club is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe someone under 18 has joined, email us and we will remove the account.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell members in the app if the changes are significant.
